In order to help assess the situation at major transportation hubs such as big train stations or airports impacted by the  measures introduced to curb the spread of CoViD-19, the Chair of Computational Modeling and Simulation (CMS) at the Technical University of Munich (TUM) conducts the research project DISTANSIM together with its spin-off company accu:rate. The objective of this project is to study the recent scientific publications regarding the spread of infectious diseases and the effect of social distancing and derive a sound model for integrating social distancing in pedestrian simulators, such as MomenTUM. The project is funded by the Federal Minsitry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure (BMVI). More details on the project can be found here:
